Business Administrator, City of Jersey City
Brian Platt is the Business Administrator for Jersey City, NJ. The position is similar to the role of Chief Operating Officer but for a city government. He was previously the Chief Innovation Officer for Jersey City and helped create the Jersey City Office of Innovation in 2015. Brian previously worked for McKinsey & Company and as a kindergarten teacher with Teach For America. He completed his Masters in Public Administration at Columbia University.
Brian was recently included on the 2017 “Traeger List” as one of the top 100 local government leaders in the United States, as well as the INSIDER NJ 2018 list of top 100 millennials in New Jersey government and politics. He also volunteers as a medical first responder with United Rescue.
