Senior Facilities Planner with Naval Facilities Engineering Command

Garth Nagel is a Senior Facilities Planner with Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southwest in San Diego, California. NAVFAC Southwest is responsible for the facilities and shore infrastructure for 10 Navy installations including 3 in the San Diego region (Naval Base San Diego, Naval Base Coronado, Naval Base Point Loma). Prior to joining NAVFAC, Mr. Nagel was in private planning practice including several large master- planned communities in San Diego and San Clemente. He has a strong interest in environmental sustainability and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED-AP) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP). Mr. Nagel holds a BS in Landscape Design from Colorado State University and a Masters in City Planning from San Diego State University.
