Kevin L. Faulconer

Mayor, City of San Diego

Kevin L. Faulconer became the 36th mayor of San Diego on March 3, 2014, on a campaign message of bringing San Diego together and restoring integrity to City Hall.
Mayor Faulconer leads the city under his platform of “One San Diego,” an inclusive city government that creates opportunities and improves the lives of all residents in all neighborhoods. His administration is focused on reforming government into a responsive and results-driven organization that efficiently and effectively serves the public.
Faulconer previously served as the District 2 City Councilmember for more than seven years, including as Council President Pro Tem.
Prior to his election to the City Council, Faulconer worked in public affairs for more than a decade. Faulconer graduated in 1990 from San Diego State University.

Eric Garcetti is a fourth-generation Angeleno and the 42nd Mayor of Los Angeles. Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley — the son of public servants and the grandson and great-grandson of immigrants from Mexico and Eastern Europe — Mayor Garcetti’s life has been shaped by a deep commitment to the core values of justice, dignity, and equality for all people.
As the city’s chief executive, he has led L.A. to raise its minimum wage, lower its business tax, bring Hollywood jobs home, and pass the nation’s boldest transportation plan and a groundbreaking initiative to house the homeless.
