Kristina Peralta is the Director of Purchasing & Contracting for the City of San Diego. She works to revolutionize the role of procurement within public agencies by leading transformative initiatives. Kristina knows that an agency’s success relies heavily on an involved procurement team. Kristina has been a champion of innovation in all of her roles and is currently leading the overhaul of the City’s procurement policies by being the first City in the country to implement SAP Ariba. She serves on the Board of the California Association for Public Procurement Officials (CAPPO), the oldest professional organization for procurement officials in the country.  A California native, she grew up in Los Angeles but now calls San Diego “home” where she lives with her husband and their two dogs.

In this in-depth classroom-style session, experienced practitioners will present case studies of various contracting and procurement strategies including city-wide RFPs, performance contracting and others.
