Founder and Director, Alter Terra

Oscar Romo is the Founder Director of the non-profit Alter Terra, an organization that promotes and implements sustainable projects around the world.He is also a professor at the University of California, San Diego, where he has worked on several research projects on sustainable urban solutions and experimental architecture.

He serves as the Chair of the City of Chula Vista California Sustainability Commission, the San Diego Regional Water Management Group representing the Urban Disadvantage Communities, the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development, and the World Water Forum as a Country Delegate.

His work has been recognized by a number of national and international organizations including the US Senate, the US Environmental Protection Agency and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration among many others.
